Brother Time

Big Brother's Buddy
Harvey has been such a joy to have. He has thrown us Parents for a loop, but Teagan has yet to seem phased in the least when it comes to having another body at home. One that loves to smile and soak up a lot of our attention I might add. But Teagan Loves Harvey! And that alone makes my day.
When I clean during the day, I usually do it while Harvey is sleeping. And while he sleeps I usually have him in the swing so that I can keep a close eye on him. One morning though, I must not of had both eyes on him or maybe Teagan is just a bit more sneaky then I give him credit. But I walked out into the living room, and there is Harvey covered in diapers. The culprit? TEAGAN! :) He just thought that was so much fun!
He just loves having fun with his brother and he does every chance he gets. If Harvey is laying on the couch under the blankets, Teagan will be there as soon as he realizes Harvey is there without him. If Harvey is upset and needs his binkie or a kiss, or even a hug Teagan is right there to decide which of those it is, that he really needs, and sometimes he will give him all three!
I hope that they are always great together. I hope that Teagan is always okay with Sharing. He loves to share and for the most part, unless it's Mommy's time, he will gladly give whatever it is up. Like his old rocking/vibrating chair. Teagan loves sitting on that thing but sometimes we need to put brother in it just to change things up a bit cause Harvey doesn't always like his swing. And Teagan is totally fine with sharing. I love that about my Two Year Old!

Teagan's Teeth
So.. It's been awhile and I will try my best to update everyone on what has been going on in our lives. To start out Teagan had his very first Dentist appointment on the 9th of April. When that morning started, I was extremely anxious as to whether or not he would even let them look at his mouth. But Teagan is definitly our big boy and he did a GREAT JOB! He has all of his teeth and not a single cavitiy.
I took him to the Columbia Basin Pediatric Dentistry where they are specially trained to care for Child Smiles! Teagan had a blast. When we walked in there were Toddler size video games and a train that wrapped around the entire lobby. What I liked were the toddler sized counters that where super low so that Teagan could see what Mom was doing. We had so much fun and that was just in the waiting room. When they brought us back they had rooms that had TVs in the celieings so that they could watch a movie while they got their teeth cleaned and they also let Teagan wear a pair of sunglasses while they worked on his teeth! He got to use the spinning toothbrush for the very first time! Needless to say, he didn't want to leave.
What about Harvey you ask? He went with us and slept the entire time! :)

"Hello Harvey"
Most of you already know about our newest Member of the Family. Harvey Liam Meyers born Wednesday March 10th at 2:04 in the afternoon. He was a pretty heavy baby for me, weighing in at almost two pounds more then Teagan weighed at birth, 8lbs 9ozs. But he was also only 19.5 inches long to Teagan's 22. So already very different.
Let's rewind a little bit though. Just the day before Harvey's Birthday, I celebrated my own 23rd birthday. I was never wanting to have a child on the same day as my birthday because I didn't think it would be fair for them. But when my birthday finally rolled around, I really didn't seem to care when he came at that point. Needless to say it was a very miserable day for me despite all my wonderful birthday visitors and being showered with Love! That was all very GREAT!
That night I didn't really want to celebrate my birthday. Instead we ended up taking the three of us out one last time together before Harvey arrived. I felt like it was super important to squeeze one last Family of Three outing in. And I am glad we did. We are always having tons of fun with Teagan. We took him to the dollar store to pick out some presents for Brother, still at that point, he didn't quite understand, but it was fun. While Him and I did that, Daddy went around and got a few things from Brother to Teagan. It was fun watching Teagz open his present the day he came to meet Harvey! That Night I didn't sleep at all. I was so anxious and I really didn't know what to expect. Also I WAS STARVED. No food after 9:00 that night. But it was all good because I was going to be having a baby very early in the morning.
The very next morning my Mom, Dad and Sister Brittany all came down to take care of Teagan for the day. My sister was able to stay a few days longer to help us out with him while we were in the hospital and she was a blessing to have! So Ben and I got up, got ready and left. I was so nervous because it was going to be different this time around. When we had Teagz, he was not a planned Ceserean. Everything happened extremely fast and I didn't have anytime to think about what was happening really. But with Harvey, they had us show up to the hospital bright and early at 5:30 that morning to get me started on the IVs and all that fun stuff. So here we were just sitting there waiting for a few hours, then finally the doctor arrived. I was super excited, we talked breifly and then he left to get ready and told us he would see us down there. Just a few short minutes later though, we were informed that my surgery had been pushed back til 3:00 because of problems with their anesthesia department. Oh My, was all I could think. How was I going to go another 7 hours without food. We made it though. I had all that extra time to freak myself out about what was going to be happening. But I was so ready when they came for us.
20 minutes later Harvey had arrived. It was, overall, a way better experience. Instead of seeing my baby for 2 seconds before whisking him away, Ben was able to bring him over to me and I was able to actually meet him and hold him right there while they were finishing everything up. Definitly a moment I will never forget. The same can't be said for the following hours though. By the time they left with Harvey to take him to the Nursery for his bath and fun stuff, I was so out of it. Going 15 hours without food is a lot to ask someone who is Pregnant and Starving, who also had problems with her blood sugar levels. So I was a goner. I don't remember them moving me from the Operating Room to the room we ended up staying in, and I apparently had full conversations with people that I don't remember at all. But I have a feeling that they will forgive me. :)
After a few hours, Teagan and My Family were able to come for a visit. It was so great. I wasn't sure how Teagan would react. He didn't really REALLY know what Baby meant. But he did great. I could tell then that he was going to be a great big brother. And you could just tell that he loved Harvey the moment he first held him with Daddy! It was the cutest thing ever. And I must admit, it made me tear up to see my Big Boy with his little Brother. Teagan already 2, I can't believe it all had gone by so fast! It's all so crazy to think!
After a few short days of being able to recover in the Hospital and recieving Many Visitors, we were able to finally go home and spend sometime as a family. I was nervous that it would be this HUGE adjustment for us all, but it really hasn't been that bad at all. Teagan has been a natural from the start. Always wanting to help out as much as he can. And Always giving out free kisses and hugs to the little burrito sitting silently in his chair, or swing, or in my arms. Where ever Harvey might be.
There really is nothing like Sibling Love! We are so blessed to have both Harvey and Teagan in our lives. Harvey has just fit so perfectly in I really can't describe it in words. All these picutres were just some fun ones that I took. Teagan and I Love taking Pictures together and I hope that one day Harvey won't mind so much either. He sure hasn't seemed to mind his X's and O's much! :)

A Flash Backwards
So I figured that for our first post, we would go back and share about our February Adventures. February was a very busy month for us. And it all but flew by right before our very eyes!
At the beginning of the month both Teagan and Benjamin were sick. I kept saying we should get Dad in, but he kept insisting it was just a cold and he would get over it. Turns out he had more then just a cold, a sinus and ear infection to be exact. And to top it all off, Teagan had pink eye. I found out that day that there are different kinds of pink eye, one that is caused by bacteria and one caused by viruses. The doctor that we saw put my mind at ease. Here I heard pink eye and I am thinking 'oh great, my son has been rubbing his bum' but turns out it was viral, more then likely from the cold that he had had for a week. But it's amazing the difference antibiotics make right away. Both Ben and Teagan were feeling much better in just a few short days!
The second week of February was all dedicated to finalizing Teagan's 2nd Birthday Party and Baby Harvey's Baby Shower. We were down in Yakima that weekend and had a blast! And much to my surprise it was super relaxing for me. I am glad that everything just kind of worked it's self out. And by that time I was so pregnant, I just tried to stand back and enjoy everything rather then sweat the small stuff! And I am so glad that I did! The weekend was a much more enjoyable one because of it. We had a great time visiting with Our Family from out of town. Yvette and Julie (Ben's Beautiful Mom and Aunt) were able to come up for the weekend and we were also surprised to see one of Ben's Cousins, Josh, whom we hadn't seen forever! It was a very good visit!
Teagan's Party ended up being really fun. I had been praying all month for alright weather because we had decided to have it at a Park in the middle of February. Call me crazy, but everything worked out and he had tons of fun! And he was extremely spoiled as well! Lots of Love and lots of presents! We got to feed the ducks and play on the toys, there were even Puppies and a BBQ! I am so glad we were able to do something for him this year and I am so glad he had fun!
Hanging with the Cousins.
Having a field day opening all his presents!
He loves his trike, but is still trying to figure it out. :)
YUM!
The baby shower was fun also. My Mom and Sister Brittany were the ones that organized everything and I must say they did a great job. I am such a perfectionist that after awhile I realized it probably wasn't the best idea to have a huge part in the planning and I am glad that I didn't. It was nice just showing up and not having to do much. Getting to eat yummy food and play some fun games. Most of all, get to spend the day with some wonderful women who are super special to me and care about us so much! Baby Harvey got some pretty cute things as well!
Just that same Saturday Teagan had a ferible siezure. I was laying in bed with him and must say it was one of the most scariest moments of my life! One moment we were singing and laughing together and the next he was convolsing and nonresponsive. As a Mom, I felt extremely helpless and horrible because I couldn't do anything. Needless to say, because of the length of the seizure, we won a ride in the ambulance to the Hosptial while he was still not fully responding. Once we go there He seemed to take everything in stride. They started their usual poking and proding and he was more aware of things after that. I am so glad Ben was there because I was an emotional wreck. I had spent weeks wishing this baby out of me, then that happened and all I could pray for was to not go into labor and for my 2 year old Baby to be alright. And he was and will be. And thanks to all of you who had us in your prayers!
The last week of February we tried our best to just have fun as a family. It's amazing to me how this just comes so naturally. And we are so blessed to have eachother. Teagan is Amazing and growing up so fast and it sometimes pains me to think that just a few short moments ago, he was a little baby in my arms and totally reliant on us as Parents. Now he is a big, proud brother who insists on doing EVERYTHING himself!

The cute cake I didn't get to sample. :( I had loads of Carbs that day!
It was hard finding room in the car for all those gifts!
One of the many games. LOL
So after that was all said and done, I am glad we had a nice relaxing weekend because the day we got home it was down to business again. We moved the following week so had only a few days to complete the packing up process and get our things from one place to the next. We Upgraded. Went from a 2 bedroom 1 bath with 960sqft to a 3 bedroom 2 full baths with 1460sqft. Much more space and We have really loved it here! We had tons of help from some awesome friends and were able to move pretty much everything we owned over in one evening. It was great fun and a huge relief! I didn't know one could move that fast. Slowly over the course of the week we were able to get most everything out and organized to where we wanted it to go. It was starting to look like a Home!It was hard finding room in the car for all those gifts!
